Despite changes in its name and meeting format, the Daytime Book Club (formerly Greenhorn Valley Book Club) has deep roots in the community.Joye Marostica was surprised when, upon moving to Greenhorn Valley in 1990, her sister, Marilyn Hunter, informed her that there was no book club in the area.

The Colorado City/Rye Lions Club recently announced the winner of the 2025-2026 Peace Poster Contest. Congratulations go out to eleven-year-old Mason Goldberg for claiming first place in this year’s competition.

RCC Saddle Club Wraps Up the Year

The Rye Colorado City (RCC) Saddle Club officially wrapped up their year with their October 18, Award Banquet. Members gathered at the historic Hatchet Ranch Events Barn to share a dinner of brisket, pulled pork, side dishes, and dessert while celebrating the years activities and rider achievements.
