VFC Finds New Ways to Brighten the Days

Just when you think they are doing all that they can for our community, the Volunteers for Community find new ways to brighten our days.The kickoff of the Thursday Senior Resource Development Agency (SRDA) lunches and the return of Bingo at the VFC Center was well attended and very enjoyable.

Taos, New Mexico has a Rich History

Lori and I were trying to remember when we last went anywhere for more than a day. I think it was last September. So, we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary by spending time in Taos, New Mexico.Taos is rich in history. It was founded in 1795.

Multi Year Rye High School Reunion Planned in August

The class of 1969 is inviting everyone that attended School from 1952 thru the year 1976 to a reunion. The invitation includes anyone that attended school during this time, whether you graduated from Rye or not, and includes teachers and staff. Family and friends are also welcome.

New Liquor Store Owners Tire of the Corporate Ladder

On April 30, the Hack Shack Liquor store, 4340 Valverde Way in Colorado City, officially changed hands and became Gin and Bear It Liquor under the ownership of Joshua and Felicia Peterson.

Car Accident Damages Valley Market

The Pueblo County Sheriff responded to Valley Market, 4493 Bent Brothers Blvd, in Colorado City, at about 12:35 p.m. Friday, May 31, on a report that a vehicle had hit the front of the building.
