Third Quarter Filled with Greenhorn Valley Activities

Greenhorn Valley Days featured a variety of events for the entire family. Co-ed softball, a bounce house, a slip-and-slide, live music all day, 50 vendors, tournaments, contests, drawings, face painting, and local organizations educating the public on what they do, made for a full day for everyone.

A Community Service Well Done

Months of hard work by the Colorado City Rye Lions Club were completed on Saturday, December 21, when they held their annual Christmas food and toy distribution. Eighty families were served, providing food for 333 people and gifts for 96 children/teens!

The Greenhorn Valley Book Club met on Thursday, December 19, to review Matt Haig's The Life Impossible and wrap up a year of fun and good memories.Linda Lewis, Greenhorn Valley Branch Manager and leader of the book club meetings, went to a lot of effort for this meeting.

Before the agenda for the December 10, Pueblo County School District 70 (D70) Board of Education (BOE) meeting was approved, board member Chris DeLuca asked for a change. He moved to approve the agenda after removing item 7:02, which was the approval of the use of the TRAILS Curriculum.
