The school system has become a battleground for the mental health, morality, and well-being of our children. In December, the five-person Board of Education for Pueblo Public School District 70 halted the TRAILS program (Transforming Research into Action to Improve the Lives of Students).

Massive Rockslide Closes Highways 165 and 96

The Colorado Department of Transportation closed CO Highways 165 and 96 due to a huge rockslide on Sunday, December 29. The rockslide occurred in the area of McKenzie Junction, in Custer County. CO 96 was closed in both directions Sunday evening from Wetmore to Westcliffe.

72nd Annual Beulah Yule Log Hunt in the Bag

The 72nd annual Beulah Yule Log Hunt was held on a bright crisp Sunday.The festive Beulah event on December 15 started with the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center (NWDC) hosting a delicious chili dinner from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Arthur’s Kitchen in the Horseshoe Lodge.
