The second annual Rye Town Square Fair was a little damp but oh, so much fun! Looking even bigger and better than last year's event, vendors, food trucks, bouncy houses, live music, Mr. Magic, and informative booths filled nearly every available space on both sides of Main Street.

Hats off and many thanks to the Colorado City Parks and Recreation crew as they more than successfully provided another round of entertainment for the community. The Colorado City swimming pool closed Saturday, August 5, leaving swimmers wishing for more.

Nearly two dozen wildfires are being watched in Colorado as of Monday evening but the majority are an acre or less and not indicating much likelihood of spreading. The largest active fire is the Lowline Fire 11.6 miles SSW of Crested Butte.
