“Every time we play, we learn something that needs improvement and those become one of our focuses the next week. The girls provide input as to what they feel they individually need to improve on plus how the team as a whole can improve. Sometimes that means I go into a practice with a plan and scrap it completely after talking to the girls, shared Head Coach Michele Roy.

Rye will travel to Crowley County (3-5) on the 12th. They will host a match with Holly (42) on the 16th. Holly is ranked 21st in 1A while Rye is considered the #4 team in 2A.

“Holly looks to be more competitive,” shared Roy. “However, we don’t want to discount a single team. We want to go into every match playing strong from the first whistle until the last.”
