The 4A Lamar Girls Basketball team rolled over Rye 50-13 on their home court on January 4. The Thunderbolts were held to 13% shooting from the field and missed on all four free throw attempts in the game.
Lacie Laca scored six points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss. Hailey George, like Laca a senior, had three points and two assists.
Abrianna Chianelli had half a dozen rebounds and a pair of steals and Taci Ehrlich had two steals and blocked three shots.
Rye is 1-6 overall and 1-3 in league standings. The only action for the Lady T’s this week was a Tuesday night visit to Salida which happened after press time and will be reported next week. Salida as of press time was 3-4 and ranked 23rd in class 3A girls basketball. Rye is ranked 49th. Peyton with a perfect 6-0 record sits atop the rankings.
