Another big piece of this: who your kids choose as friends. (Viewpoint-December 2) Kids migrate to the lowest common denominator. When my oldest started hanging out with 'less structured' kids, things went bad. It took him a year to realize he needed a new friend group. Things are going very well for him now.

The spiritual upbringing is crucial. We have an innate sense of right and wrong but it needs to be reinforced and supported at home. The Bible should be the guide and, though they will stray, they will usually come back.

Our schools today are dens of Satan (in most big cities) and I fear for the future of this latest generation. We'll get back on course, but at great expense.
