Alan Andrew Dufty, son of Bernard and Marguerite Dufty, born March 4, 1940 in Ringgold County Iowa, went home to be with the Lord Feb 20, 2022 at his home in Rye, Colorado. He is survived by his wife
Katherine Dufty and combined children: Lonnie Dufty, Kelly Temmert, Scott Dufty, Karla Fetty, Matthew Fetty, Steven Fetty, Candice Ayers and Chris Robinson. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Alan had four siblings: Peggy Walters, Nancy Gill, Linda Clennin and Sherry Bell.
After leaving the farm life in Iowa, Alan became a heavy machine operator and became an expert over the years. He was an avid hunter and thoroughly enjoyed hunting bear, elk, and deer. His advice and guidance was sought out from everyone that wanted to hunt, because Alan knew the area so well. Alan enjoyed his afternoon walks on table mountain.
A memorial is scheduled for March 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., River of Life Church, located at 8186 HWY 165, Rye, Colorado 81069.
Food and drinks will be shared afterward, along with great memories and stories.
