Fair and Balanced.

The first time I heard the name Elon Musk, I thought someone was hawking a new brand of aftershave. Little did I know at the time that the man may ascend historically to the likes of Bell, Edison, Ford, Jobs, and the many other innovators/entrepreneurs of the past.

Besides accomplishments in electrical vehicle development and being a forerunner in the commercialization of space, Mr. Musk is now attempting to enter the social media environment with a Twitter acquisition.

Elon states that he wants to use a "fair and balanced" approach with platform usage. This is in opposition to the to the highly leveraged, leftist-leaning condition of platforms today. Proof positive of what I say is the media's reaction – the same old fallback when someone "rains on their parade," they're using the racist rebuttal. They say: Elon is white, he's qualified; Elon is from South Africa and consequently, he believes in apartheid; etc. etc. etc.

It also seems like the bureaucratic swamp in Washington wants to get in on the act. Shortly after Elon's announcement, the Department of Homeland Security disclosed that they are forming a

"Disinformation Governance Board," supposedly to filter out and counter disinformation from foreign governments – I guess this dates back to Hunter Biden's laptop being a Russian plant. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see the way this is going for this "ministry of truth" – the truth is what the board says it is.

There are other rumblings from the Securities and Exchange Commission with regard to Elon's handling of stock transactions, and the Federal Trade Commission is questioning antitrust violations with the deal.

The latest on the acquisition: "Musk on Friday tweeted that his $44-billion cash deal to take the company private was "temporarily on hold" while he awaited data on the proportion of its fake accounts."

Whatever the outcome, if there's one thing Mr. Musk accomplished was to show the state of this country, in and out government, when it comes to "fair and balanced."

Enough said.
