Pueblo County Fair 2022 Results

PUEBLO COUNTY

Pueblo County Fair 2022 is a wrap. With the main bulk of the fair occurring between July 22 and July 30, results are now official.

Shooting sports were held on July 15 and 16.

In the shooting sports .22 Pistol Division, Junior Grand Champion was Landon Thielbar; Junior Reserve Grand Champion, Logan Thielbar; with Senior Grand Champion, Samuel Valenzuela.

Lane Leach was named.22 Rifle Hunt Open & Scope Junior Grand Champion; with Junior Reserve Grand Champion going to Wade Leach; and 3-P and 4-P Junior Grand Champion, Jace Colletti. .22 Rifle Hunt Open & Scope Senior Grand Champion was Allyson Neal; and Senior Reserve Grand Champion, Jessica Tucker.

Junior Shotgun, Trap Division, saw Antonio Cortese taking Junior Grand Champion with William Fleenor placing as Junior Reserve Grand Champ.

Senior Grand Champion in the Shotgun Class was Bryce Roberts; with Sam Valenzuela placing as Senior Reserve Grand Champion.

The horse show ran from Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24.

Katelynn Frick placed 3rd in the English riding horse show and returned to the arena to take Western Riding, level 1, age 14-18 Grand Champion. Reserve Grand Champion was Kiera Soares. In level 1, ages 8-13, Grand Champion was Josephine Harder; and Reserve Grand Champion, Allie Turano. For levels 2-4 age, 8-13 Grand Champion was Lillian Kouba.

The miniature horse division saw a Grand Champion placing for Allie Turano; and Reserve Grand Champion for Josephine Harder.

In Beginner Western Riding, Brylee Maddaford was named Grand Champion, with Reserve Grand Champion Macey Genova.

Jessica Hall won Champion with her mixed breed dog, Maggie, in the dog obedience class. Lilianna Avila and her poodle, Airis, took Champion in the Pre-Graduate Novice Veterans.

Serenity Mizell and Anna Prince won beginner novice championships.

Greenhorn Kicker, Lena Chandler took home a blue ribbon in Modeling for Fun Junior Modeling.

Molly Chandler scored a blue ribbon in Intermediate Artistic Clothing, Creative Sewing, Heritage Arts, and Leathercraft to win Class Champion and Reserve Intermediate Grand Champion.

Clara Chandler took home Senior Grand Champion Class Champion, and a blue ribbon in Senior Artistic Clothing Decorate Your Duds and Creative Sewing, Heritage Arts, and Leathercraft.

In the breeding beef category, Cash Pratt won Grand Champion with Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Beef going to Cashley Chambers; and 3rd Place Breeding Beef was Ella Russell.

The Greenhorn Valley Kickers were well represented in the Market Beef Division by Asher Clennin, Grant Clennin, Rodney Roggen, and Wyatt Scheid. Rodney Roggen won a Reserve Champion placing.

Cash Gremillion won Champion in four divisions of the goat show, also taking home the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion ribbons. Maya Bigler won Reserve Champion.

In the Junior Kid Goats Placing Rodney Roggen took 5th; Adelita Roggen Bernal, 2nd; Elijah Roggen Bernal, 6th; and Kelly Sloan, 1st. In the Senior Yearling Non-Milking Goats, Jesse Huskins took 6th and Katelyn Huskins took 5th. Rodney Roggen placed 4th and Adelita Roggen Bernal placed 3rd and 5th in the Goat Does.

In Goat Showmanship, Katelyn Huskins won 5th place Senior Division, in the intermediate division, Rodney Roggen won 3rd and Jesse Huskins won 4th.

Adelita Roggen Bernal took home the Reserve Grand Champion in Junior Showmanship and Elijah Roggen Bernal placed 4th.

Molly Balenseifen won Reserve Champion in Market Goats while Tristin Bergemann won 2nd and 3rd.

Milena LaForest and Joshua George of the Beulah Mountaineer Wranglers both had third-place wins.

Taylor Kenney’s swine, shown with the Rye Future Farmers of America, won Champion and third place in the swine show while Branson Burbidge’s project took the Reserve Champion ribbon for the Greenhorn Kickers 4-H Club. In other swine projects, Amelia Burbidge’s project won third, Hannah Davis took home fourth and sixth place, Stormy Kenney took third place, Garret George a fourth place, Kade Kenney a sixth, Zebadiah Laca a sixth placing, Lacie Laca a third place.

Kenzie Nielson took fifth and sixth, Porter Nielson placed fourth and sixth. Colton Pool showing for Rye FFA won Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. Coy Pool, Chase Scheid, and Wyatt Scheid won Champion placings and Samuel Valenzuela won Reserve Championship.

Molly Balenseifen won Grand Champion Showman in goats; Corbin Power won Reserve Grand Champion Showman in junior swine, Colton Pool took Senior Grand Champion Showman in swine, and Garrett George won Senior Reserve Grand Champion.
