The Pueblo County Republican Party invites you to attend a special shared event. Candidates Stephen Varela and Jonathan Ambler will be available for the electorate within the Valley to talk with at a Meet and Greet fundraiser to be held at the Greenhorn Valley Library, 4801 Cibola Dr, Colorado City. The event will run from 3-5:00 pm on Saturday, April 30.
Event organizer, Sharon Scutti shared, “We hope people will come out and support the candidates. If you are not able to contribute financially, there are many ways to help, such as displaying yard signs or making phone calls. We need to start in our own backyard and get the everyday person involved. The only thing you can do wrong is not get involved. This is a very important race; it is the first time there is an opportunity to have a Pueblo County Senator elected in District 3.”
Varela, a current resident of Pueblo, is running for Colorado Senate District #3. He is an Army combat veteran who attended Colorado State University-Pueblo to graduate with his bachelor's in Sociology with a minor in Chicano studies. He also graduated with a Masters in Social work from the University of Southern California.
