Chamber Moving Forward with Business EXPO Plans

The Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce is moving forward with plans for the annual Business Expo, which has been upgraded to include a Casino Night event played with funny money. The Business Expo and Casino Night will be held on June 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Craver Middle School. There will be a silent auction, door prizes, and raffle items.

Representatives from the Rye Fire Protection District (RFPD) attended the April 4 Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce meeting, in part, to notify the Chamber that they had planned their 5K run on the same date as the Business Expo, also in the Craver Middle School area. The Chamber and RFPD reps discussed the timing of their events and decided that it may actually be beneficial to have both events on the same day. The run will kick off at 8:00 a.m. and the Business Expo won’t be starting until 10:00 a.m. It was decided to market the events together and help get the word about both events spread.

A basic booth is free for Chamber members and premium booths or add-ons are available at extra cost. Pricing for non-Chamber members is as follows: Standard Exhibit Space (10’x7.5’) ____ $75.00, Large Exhibit Space (20’x8.0’) ____$125.00, Showcase Exhibit Space (36’x8.0’) ____$220.00, Traditional Non-profits ____20.00 (SET UP IN FOYER), (1) 110V electrical outlet ____$25 (only available in selected sites due to access), Wireless Internet Connection $10.00

Reservations for booths are being taken now. If you'd like to register, download the form at https://img1.wsimg.com/.../2 022-Expo-Registration-Form... And email it to info@greenhornchamber.org.

The Chamber welcome baskets projects are coming together nicely. Committee head David Chucka advised he was giving about one more week for businesses to donate the items used in the gift baskets. At that time the baskets will be filled and put together for distribution. The board approved paying Diane Brown $800 to complete twenty baskets.

There was discussion about the cost of the baskets, how long the Chamber plans on giving the Welcome Baskets, and how recipients of the baskets will be chosen.

Chamber president Mike Bowler reminded everyone of the display board and pamphlet rack available to display advertising material located in the Cuerno Verde rest area at I-25 and Hwy 165.
