Marianne Townsend passed away peacefully at her home on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hattie Morris; her beloved husband, William “Bill” Townsend; her grandson, Brandon Arnold; her stepson Stanley Townsend and her stepson Alan Townsend.
Marianne is survived by her sisters, Jeanne Bryant and Linda (Ron) Hammen; her children, John (Pam) Arnold, Janice (Buddy) Cellers, Adrianne (Ed) Steelman, Mary Christina (Jeff) Little, Shannon Maginn, Paul Townsend and Boyd Townsend; along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. As a devout Catholic she was active for many years in the St. Aloysuis parish. She loved singing and playing the piano; she performed with the Pueblo Choral for a number of years.
A visitation will be held on November 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Homes, located at 329 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004. A Funeral Mass will follow on the same day beginning at 11:00 am at the same location.
A Committal Service will take place on November 11, 2025, immediately following the Funeral Service at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Rye Colorado, located at 8006 CO-165, Rye, CO 81069.
