Short-Lived Turkey Fire Engages Multiple Agencies

Multiple agencies from Huerfano and Pueblo Counties responded to a report of a wildland fire near County Road 122 and Ridge Road, southeast of Colorado City.

McPheeters Visit is Well Received

Pueblo County Commissioner Paula McPheeters hosted a Town Hall at the Susan Kalman Peaks to Prairie Community Center on Thursday, March 26. She partnered with several organizations and many people to make the Town Hall as complete as possible.

CCMD Open House Aired Community Concerns

Colorado City Metropolitan District (CCMD) Manager Jim Eccher and Board Chairman Neil Elliot hosted a valuable open house to allow residents to ask questions. During the informal discussion, Eccher and Elliot encouraged those in attendance to ask questions.

Local Fires Quickly Contained

Thanks to the quick action of local fire agencies, several local fires have been quickly contained, minimizing damage and spread.Rye Fire Protection District (RFPD) has responded to two structure fires and a wildland fire in just a few weeks.

Annual Quilt Show Features 250 Years of America

The 16th Annual Southern Colorado Regional Quilt Show, presented by the Pride City Quilt Guild, will open at the El Pueblo History Museum, located at 301 N. Union Ave in Pueblo, on April 2. The show will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
