Slick Roads, Accidents, and Stalled Trucks Made Commute Long and Nerve Wracking

A wicked little storm slammed into Southern Colorado on December 9, creating dangerously slick roads and resulting in road closures and event cancellations.Unlike the last storm to bombard our area, this one did not leave large accumulations behind.

Wild Winds Bring Interstate Closure on Sunday

Mild winds took a sudden and drastic turn to wild winds on the afternoon of Sunday, November 24. The crazy winds blew hard all across the area, but were seemingly worse between Colorado City and Walsenburg.
