The Rye Band performed excellently at the Rye Spring Music Concert. The band played Batman from the 1968 TV Show, Halo 3 Theme from the video game Halo 3, Elegy by Japanese composer Yo Goto, Flight of the Thunderbird by Richard Saucedo and Lake of Sorrows by Randall Standridge.

Several black bears in the Greenhorn Valley have emerged from their dens and are making their presence known. Bear activity began in early April with two bears consistently hanging out in the Applewood area. I have received bear calls near the golf course and Rye.
