Greenhorn Library Launches Summer Reading Program

School is out, summer break has started, and the Summer Reading adventures are here! The Greenhorn Branch of the Pueblo City-County Library District officially launched its annual summer reading program on Saturday, June 7, with a festive kickoff celebration.

Lost Texas Hikers Rescued from Greenhorn Mountain

Six hikers from Texas, including five juveniles, were rescued from Greenhorn Mountain on Saturday afternoon after a 25-hourlong search in steep heavily wooded terrain.The search began around 7:30 p.m.

Dave Wade’s historic Mountain Trails Chuckwagon is finding a new and very fitting home. The Goodnight Barn Historic Preservation Committee unveiled the new acquisition on Saturday, May 31, at the Historic Goodnight Barn, located at 5475 W. State Hwy 96 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Slash Collection at 12 Mile Gravel Pit

The United States Forest Service is sponsoring a mitigation slash collection event for property owners in or near the towns of San Isabel, Beulah, and Rye, Colorado, on Saturday, May 31. This event, part of the San Carlos Ranger District Slash Collection, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
