Roundtable Unifies Community Assets for

The second roundtable work session for the improvement of Colorado City met on September 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pueblo County Chambers. District 1 Commissioner Miles Lucero and District 3 Commissioner Zachary Swearingen were in attendance.

Bailey Elected to Fill Open Position

Greg Bailey, recently retired as a 38-year member of the Colorado City Metro District (CCMD) staff, was appointed to the remainder of the term held by Clint Gross who recently resigned from the CCMD Board of Directors. Bailey was one of two applicants for the position.

Lucero Censured by Pueblo County Commissioners

Things grew hotter in the decorum issues of the Pueblo County Commissioners. At the September 30 meeting, Miles Lucero was censured by fellow commissioners Zach Swearingen and Puala McPheeters. The focus of the censure was violating executive session confidentiality during a recent meeting.

Colorado City/Rye Lions Club Car Show and Craft Fair

The 11th Annual Colorado City/Rye Lions Club Car Show and Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.Registration for cars will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The registration fee is $30 for cars and vendors.
