Sarah Hunter and Greg Collins (incumbent) were clearly the top two vote recipients in the May 3rd election for the two open positions on the Colorado City Metro District Board of Directors. Hunter garnered the most votes of 912 votes cast with an unofficial total of 275. That was 8.

In 2020, the Colorado City Metro District sold 66 water and sewer taps at a price of $10,000 before the price went up in 2021. With the increase of the price to $16,500 ($8,500 for water and $8,500 for sewer) the number of sold taps dropped to 24.

I have made several trips recently to Kansas. One of the things I always look forward to is the price of gasoline in the Sunflower State. Kansas is historically one of the five least expensive places to buy gasoline. Often it will be nearly 50 cents/gallon cheaper than Colorado.
