One of the most popular types of stories we print is on history. So…… What were you doing in 1952? The New York Yankees won the World Series in 1952. They beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in seven games.

Viewpoint:

I love our monthly excursion into what readers tell us about how they feel about the paper (see page 5). Most criticism doesn’t bother me but sometimes I get a little concerned that some of the responses are planted by people from other papers.

Viewpoint:

How do you decide what is true, and what isn’t? I was struck by the Letter to the Editor in this issue of the paper from Steve LaHue. I was struck by it for two reasons. First, he sent it to me several times and apologized for a senior moment.

Viewpoint: My Grandkids Think Thin Skin is In

The grandkids and I play a little game. It’s called “who has the most new bumps, bruises and abrasions.” Each of the four grand children like to point out each “Ouchy” and review the circumstances that led to their injury. The stories are wild and are met with my soft, gentle caring spirit.
