I read with great interest the story about the rescue of a Chicago family of five on the Greenhorn Trail. It took me back to a similar story in the early spring of 1987 when I was working as the advertising manager and sports writer for the Norton Daily Telegram in Norton, Kansas.

In a Public Broadcasting Service report released in late October, federal officials who recommended the new versions of the COVID-19 vaccines said that 7% of U.S. adults and 2% of children had gotten the shot. The numbers came from a survey of 2,000 people.
