Rye ended the 1st quarter with a double-digit deficit and struggled to find a defensive balance throughout the rest of the evening. The T-Bolts lost to Fowler 38-67 on Friday, Feb. 1. Freshman guard Brock Benz had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal at the away conference game.

Rye Boys Basketball went against one team over the past week. The team the Thunderbolts played against was a tough opponent resulting in a loss for the Thunderbolts. The overall record for the Thunderbolts stands at 6-10, and they are placed 38th in the state for 2A. They are scheduled to play against the Simla Cubs, who are ranked 14th in the state for 2A on Saturday February 5th. Simla is 9-4 overall for the year and 4-1 in league.
During the last week the Thunderbolts played against number four in the state, the Fowler Grizzlies, on Friday February 1st. The final score of the game was 38-67 ending with a loss for Rye. The top scorers for Rye during this game were Kreed Rahl scoring 7 points, Michael Valdez, and Robert Buford scoring 6 points each.
