The Lady Thunderbolts downed Fowler 42-30 on the road last Friday despite a very small squad because of injuries. Sydney and Sophie Adamson led the scorers with 13 points each, in the 15th victory of the year for Rye with only one loss. They are 10-1 in league play.

Madison Gookin pulled in nine rebounds and had three assists and Jamie Ortiz had half a dozen rebounds in the victory. Sydney Adamson also had four assists and sister Sophie had three assists.

“We are running both ends of the court with a slim number of players, “commented Head Coach Kermit Spencer. “In the Fowler game, the injuries and foul troubles put us in a tough position. Still, with all that going on, I think the girls did a phenomenal job keeping things together. It was a nice win as it guaranteed us the number one seed from the West going into the district tournament.”

Tuesday night Rye hosted Hoehne and results of that game will be in the View next week. Saturday Rye will travel to Simla for a tough contest. Simla is 11-2 and is ranked in the top ten in 2A.
