The injury ridden Lady Thunderbolts “played their hearts out” in the words of Head Coach Kermit Spencer and came away with a pair of league road wins last week.

With three players on the injury list, the Thunderbolts played different positions and different line-ups but outscored a pair of league opponents 103-52 on unfriendly courts.

Last Friday they traveled to Walsenburg to face John Mall. The Lady T’s built a 20-6 first quarter lead and never slowed down. Sophie Adamson scored 16 points and had eight assists in the victory. Jolee Ortiz scored 14 points and Madison Gookin added 11 points to the victory.

Hannah Ambler had seven rebounds and a pair of assists and Morgan Elarton had eight rebounds. The Thunderbolts shot 46% from the field and 40% from the line. They had eight turnovers while John Mall turned the basketball over 20 times.
