A triple feature will be held at the Playhouse on Main St. in Rye, Friday and Saturday, August 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 19, at 2:30 p.m.

The Greenhorn Valley Players will start the triple bill off with a play written by Cliff Pattison, called “The Butler.” The play is set in a café where a woman (Rebecca Holt) and her husband (Chris Donner) try to solve a murder. The waiter is creepy (Lange Simmons), but effective and the crime is solved.

The second play is called “Not My Cup of Tea”, by A.G. Groff. The story is about two spinster sisters (Moriah Holt and Courtney Colbert) who try to find their way out of a dilemma- an aging ailing mother (Sarah Collins) who has kept them under her thumb. The action will keep you on the edge of your chair as they ladies “solve” their problem.

A second Pattison penned play called “Silence is Golden or Mums the Word”, rounds out the evening. Gertrude Chaste’s (Kandra Volentine) Grandma Burpee (Cheale Clemans) has mortgaged the farm to Brutus E. Ville(Nic Hannan) but he can’t be found. Things get worse and worse but, Charles Goodenough (Jon Hannan) shows up to save the day.

Advance tickets can be purchased from the cast, Rye Café, Greenhorn Valley True Value, and Obie’s Fillin Station. Reservations are welcome at 489-2099.
