Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor awarded retired Beulah Valley Fire Chief Ron Jones the Sheriff's Commendation Wednesday. It's the highest award a civilian can receive in the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.

"Chief Jones" started volunteering with Beulah Valley Volunteer Fire 55 years ago. He became Chief in 1994 and led his team through wildfires, blizzards and flooding.
