Bears have been making their way through the valley and our own Tracy had another bear in their area over the weekend. This one didn't get into their house though. Since the last time, they have installed an electric fence. Their dogs alerted them to the bears presence.

I have had some experience with the wild life in the area as I've gone to the market before coffee. Of course the geese are always blocking the road and then there was the hawk with his fish, then the latest was when I had to wait for a fox to cross which took it's sweet time and looked at me like I was really interfering with its morning stroll. So sorry!!!

Pet and Doris finally got to make it to a coffee. She said they got a break from doctor visits on a Tuesday and could stop in for a cup and some talk. Nice to see them again.

Lee and Linda popped in one morning before heading back to Arizona for a few more doctor visits of their own. But they will be back soon and will be staying a little later into the fall this year. They came late this year due to a cruise they took to Hawaii celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Linda thinks she enjoyed the trip more than Lee though. But he took lots of pictures and they brought them to share.

It's always nice to see Maxine back with us. She is looking great and says she feels great. We hope she gets to stick around a bit longer this year also.

We have another couple off on a cruise for a 50th anniversary. Bob and Doris are going to Alaska for their cruise. Some friends and family are also going along on the trip. What a fun time for all. Such a great milestone and what a wonderful way to celebrate. Hope they bring back lots of pictures too.

We have had such crowds at the coffee lately, we're having to seperate the tables and bring in more chairs for all to sit. This is great. All the visiting and meeting new people. It's a wonderful way to spend a morning. And we always seem to have enough to munch on.

Hank is having some knee surgery soon and he and Deb will be missing for awhile. Hank says about 2 weeks. We'll see about that. He was kind enough to bring us a large supply of his "world famous hot chocolate" mix, so we shouldn't run out for awhile. Thanks Hank. Some of the folks actually mix that in their coffee, and then they drink it. I guess it's worth a try. I just have to make sure there is enough coffee and such for everyone.

Petra brought her Mom, Millie, with her one morning. She is here for the summer from Germany. Her English is getting better, so she can keep up a conversation or you can play charades with her. I do that a lot. Welcome back Millie.

Keep cool, stay hydrated, and come see us on Tuesday mornings at the Valley Community Church at 9:00 a.m., or whenever you get up and about. We are always here. I'll keep the coffee hot for you.
