Taxpayers in Pueblo County have until Friday to pay the second half of their property tax if they split the payments for the year. Payments for second half taxes made after Friday will be assessed a penalty interest charge.

Besides hand carrying your tax payment to the county treasurer’s office on the first floor of the Pueblo County Courthouse, you can also mail it to 215 W. 10th St., Room 110. The zip code at the treasurer’s office is 81003. To be timely, mailed payments must be postmarked Friday. The office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

According to Treasurer Del Olivas, taxpayers may also pay using the internet by credit card or e-check. Go to www.co.pueblo.co.us. The site gives step by step instructions to complete the tax payment process. Payments must be made before midnight (MST) Friday. The process has a fee.

For more information call the County Treasurer at 583-6015.
