First: My resignation from the CCMD Board of Directors. Due to the local economy in my industry, I have taken a position with a company here in Williston, ND. I was hired to go into sales, but told that I would be in operations until a qualified person could be hired to take my place which I was told would be 30-60 days. If I were in sales, I would be able to come home to Colorado City two times a month for four days; ALLOWING me to keep my position on the board. I have been here for four months + and still work operations 60-80 hours a week, 6-7 days a week with one three day weekend off per month. People who know me know that I did not want to leave any position that I held in Colorado City, I enjoyed serving my community very much, as well as, enjoyed most of the people in our Valley. I wanted to stay on the board, and held out as long as I could to be able to do so. Then reality set in. These are the facts; I hear that much “jaw flapping” is going on in our Valley.

Second: There has been much “jaw flapping” about the CCACC and the RFPD. The results from the recent elections have shown that many people in our Valley have investigated, or checked out the “facts” about the issues at hand. Thank-you, those who took the time and effort to do this. This will head our community back in the right direction. All of this “jaw flapping” has really hurt our Valley over the last couple of years. Find out the facts, and deal with reality! I have always believed in the truth, and believe that the truth shall always prevail over time. The truth shall come out on these issues as we have the people in place now to investigate the facts, which is what should have been done from the start. There are people who do, and there are those who only complain about things that do not go their way. The best thing these “jaw flappers” could do for our Valley: Leave it! We need positive people to move forward!

Well said Bill. I know you to be a straight-shooter and honest guy (and a handy carpenter).
