The last two wildfires in the State of Colorado have been designated as 100% contained and all area closures have been lifted. Three Prescribed burns continue to be active.

The Ryan Fire, 27 miles NW of Walden has been deemed 100% contained after burning a total of 25,585 acres. The fire was started by an abandoned campfire. There was 6Ē of snow in the area this last week. The fire started on September 15.

The Silver Creek Fire was also called 100% contained. Lightning caused the fire which burned 20,120 acres. The fire was 16 miles NW of Kremmling and started on July 19.

The three prescribed burns are north of Red Featherís Lake, a slash pile in Arapahoe and Roosevelt National Forest, and a fire in the Dolores Ranger District.
